Meet the Team

Jensen K. Nowakoski

Managing Partner

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. My current role is leading the company’s overall insurance sales division, with the responsibility for overseeing insurance policies and customer retention. I am also the Managing Partner for GJIG’s sister company, GJ Financial Group.

I have been in the financial sector for 10 years, fortunate to have served as a leader in each of my positions, and have helped hundreds of other insurance agents navigate the rough waters of the financial sector. With team efforts, I have been able to accumulate awards such as Company Sales Leader, State Sales Leader, and the President’s Club – awarded to the agency with the best overall operations. While these are great professional accomplishments, I understand that none of these awards compare to the relationships we have with our clients. Protecting them and being there for them good or bad is and always will be our number one goal.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me at home working on my property, watching any sporting event, or on the golf course honing my game.

I hold a degree in business administration and economics from Saint Joseph’s College.

Grant L. Jenkins

Managing Partner

I was born out on a farm in Danville, IN, but moved to Zionsville, IN early in my childhood.  I grew up raising semi-exotic animals (llamas, rheas, emus, pygmy goats, etc.) and proud of being a 10-year 4-H participant. Attended DePauw University and received my degree in economics.  I started out with a 7-year career in commercial real estate, before going to work in the financial sector with Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and JP Morgan’s Private Bank.  After burning out of the financial sector in 2014 I went and pursued a few IoT startups for a few years before caving to the internal pull to get back in the financial sector. My role with GJIG is focused on operations and implementing technology. With 17+ years in the financial sector along and startup executive leadership, I’ve been on the side of our clients, needing business and personal insurance.  This experience gives me the commonality to our clients and understanding of the level of service, education, and protection I wanted and can now help deliver that to our clients. I love to bring on a new client (the process from prospect to client) and saving people money when I know it is significant to their lives – along with exceeding their expectations on service and our different approach in a commoditized business. Our goal starting out was to take the high level of professional services offered in the financial industry and bring it to the relatively boring and overcrowded P&C industry.

Personally, I enjoy spending free time with my 3 kids, golfing, and working to grow our companies (I’m also Managing Partner for our sister company, GJ Financial Group).   Some fun facts about me: Love cars – all types. Classics, muscle, exotics, you name it – I love them all.  A new passion I picked up during COVID lockdown was learning DJing skills and the art of mixing music.

Brandon Cento

Director of Business Development & Sales

I was born and raised in Carmel, Indiana, and I have a degree from IU in Business and Political Science. I have been in the insurance industry for 10 years. Currently, my role is leading a team of agents focusing on sales and customer satisfaction. I am also the District Manager of a Voluntary Benefits and enrollment company.

All of my accomplishments have come from being a part of a great team of people with high integrity and skill level. I know that without my team, I would not be as successful as I am today. I have received multiple awards for achieving sales goals and for team development. I am incredibly proud of receiving the People Development Award, Leadership Development, High Achieving Sales District.

More than personal accomplishments, though, seeing the satisfaction on my client’s faces when they are helped to overcome the obstacles they are facing makes it all worth it to me. I also take great pride when everyone on my team succeeds, and I love it when we can celebrate the wins together.

Outside of insurance, you can usually find me at home with the family, at the gym working out, or in the summertime, you can find me out on the lake. I am also very passionate about basketball and love coaching my daughters in all of their sports activities, including tennis and martial arts.

Kelly Geshwilm

I grew up in Winchester, Indiana on a farm with my loving parents and 2 brothers. I have a background in the hospitality industry but plan to bring my excellent customer service skills to the field of insurance! What most excites me about my job is making a positive lasting impression on my clients while being a source of comfort and communication.

I enjoy traveling and spending time with my dog, family, and big group of friends. Some fun facts about me are that I love tacos and know how to sew. You can find me at the pool or hosting a get-together with friends on the weekends.

Ayesha Qamar

VP of Client Services

I was born and raised in Islamabad- the capital of Pakistan. I hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from one of the prestigious universities and graduated at the top of my class.

I am a former development sector professional turned insurance wizard – I’ve traded my cape for a calculator, but I’m still here to save the day (and your assets) with a smile! I thrive on delivering exceptional customer service and turning every interaction into a memorable one.

Compassion and a passion for helping people is the best thing about my work. I’m on a mission to brighten lives, one act of kindness at a time!

I have a sweet tooth for baking, and when I’m not busy perfecting my cakes and pizzas, you’ll find me indulging in some serious binge-watching sessions of TV series. As a die-hard fan of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, I’ve probably seen every episode more times than I can count. Just like the show, I will always be there for my clients!

Ed James

Insurance Agent

I grew up in Avon, IN, graduated from Avon High School, and still live in Avon today!

I started in the insurance industry in 2020 and have enjoyed learning and being able to help friends and family with their insurance needs. It’s always exciting to me when I can help my clients find more coverage, a better insurance policy, or simply help them save more money; it really makes the effort all worthwhile.

When I have free time, I very much enjoy reading. It is always very relaxing for me. Other times, I enjoy playing the guitar and learning new chords and songs! In the summertime, going to parks and hiking is always a bonus. There’s nothing like going outside, relaxing, and just being able to unwind and enjoy nature.

I am also passionate about volunteering. I do my best to stay involved in a few charities that are important to me!

Ethan Whitaker

Insurance Agent

I grew up in the small town of Morgantown, IN, and spent my early days playing sports, working on cars, and going off-roading. I then went on to graduate from the Kelley School of Business with a BA in Business and International Studies. I started working in the insurance industry straight out of college and, over the years, have gained much experience in both the world of real estate and finance.

What excites me the most about working in the insurance industry is being able to educate people about a world of information they may have never been exposed to, and the personal development I achieve by doing so.  In fact, my friends say that I’m always talking about and enjoying my personal growth through fitness, education, real estate, and economics!

When I’m not working, you can catch me looking for cool cars to rent or looking for new places to visit!

I grew up on the south side of Indianapolis but was born in Greenfield, Indiana. I graduated from Triton Central HS and then went to Ivy Tech to get a degree in computer-aided design. I finally became an insurance agent in 2016.

What excites me most about my job is helping my clients and developing the relationships I build with them.

I love spending time with my wife and kids, fishing, golfing, and watching sports. When I have the time, I also really enjoy woodworking!

When I’m not at the office, you can probably find me with my wife or kids, often fishing.

In my time, I do find much fulfillment volunteering at Riley Children’s Hospital.

Ford

Head of Security

As head of security for GJIG, I take my role very seriously (unless there is a game of fetch happening, then I just can’t contain myself). While at Bark Tudor, I received my degree in WABS protocol (Woof, Arf, Bark, and Sniff). I’m also in charge of ensuring all meetings stay on track. I do this by getting up from my naps and nudging my legs as a hint that the meeting has gone on long enough, and it’s time to pay attention to me. While we are in a relatively snoozing industry, I take pride in our culture being unique, fun, and energetic, just like me! While I work long hours and tirelessly for my biscuits, I’m still single and ready to mingle.
